Ethereal 1/4 vs. Black Diffusion 1/4
I find myself constantly testing filters. I’m obsessed with optics. I’ve been shooting with the Fuji Xt5 and wanted a filter that could live on the 27mm. Both Ethereal and Black Diffusion are great for taking the edge off of your digital photography. I find that pair diffusion with film grain that Fuji offers in camera really helps with the film like aesthetic that I enjoy.

My Analysis
The differences are very subtle. If you are looking at this blog on your phone, it’s going to be really hard to see any differences. After looking at these test on a 70 inch monitor for much longer than I would like to admit, I’ve found that I gravitate more to the Ethereal lens. Both filters do a great job of giving that subtle diffused look but Ethereal holds sharpness slightly better that Black Diffusion.
