Sleepover

In this genre-bashing horror/rom-com, Gretchen accidentally summons a demon while trying to get over a breakup with her neighbor, Paul..

We knew what movie we were making....

When I was planning the shots list for this film, I knew it was a lot to handle in a really short period of time. I told the director if we wanted to complete the film, we would have to sacrifice something on the day to accomplish shots. I think my pre-planning allowed me to get the high number of shots that was done. However, I don’t want to do that again. .

I also think, having a camera operator was great because I could focus more over the cinematography as a whole instead of being a DP/camera operator. Overall, i’m happy with the way this film turned out. I feel that the collaboration with my team has been great and I’ve put a lot of trust in my fellow cinematographers to handle the crew positions that they are crewing.
